Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! (鬼滅の刃 目指せ!最強隊士! Kimetsu no Yaiba Mezase! Saikyō Taishi!?) is a board-style video game based on Koyoharu Gotoge's Kimetsu no Yaiba.

The game was released by Aniplex in Japan and Sega worldwide for the Nintendo Switch in April 2024. Versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S are scheduled for release in July 2024.

Gameplay[]

Four players compete on a board to obtain the most Rank Points by the end of the game. Akin to Mario Party 6, the game follows a day-night cycle: during the day, players must reach a Destination Space, undergoing special Skill Training at the end of the each turn, where they will receive Slayer Coins depending on their performance. Once the Destination Space is reached, the board shifts to nighttime, during which players must reach a Greater Demon Space to initiate a fight. Once the Greater Demon is defeated, players receive Rank Points depending on how well they did before the board shifts back to daytime. Once all turns are over, bonus Rank Points are awarded and the player with the most Rank Points is declared the winner.

Spaces[]

There are a number of spaces that can either help or harm the player during a game. These spaces include the following.

Name Effect
Blue Space The player receives a few Slayer Coins.
Red Space The player loses a few Slayer Coins.
Kakushi Space A member of the Kakushi appears, triggering a roulette which the player must stop to gain an item.
Training Space The player must stop a wheel, gaining Slayer Coins or Rank Points depending on the result.
Ally Space The player gets an ally, which provides them with an additional die roll and a new Slayers' Dice.
Event Space An event gets triggered, either harming or helping the player. Though not a space of their own, they are marked by other spaces having a flashing outline.
Destination Space The player receives thirty Rank Points, after which the board shifts to nighttime.
Greater Demon Space A wheel gets spun, with multiple possible outcomes: either a fight ensues, where the board shifts back to daytime upon defeat, or the demon escapes and relocates to another randomly chosen space.

Boards[]

There are five total boards in Sweep the Board!, which include the following:

Name Description
Board One A simple board featuring Asakusa, Mount Fujikasane and the Northwest Town. There are three points where players can pay a fare of twenty Slayer Coins to travel to another part of the board by boat. The Hand Demon, Susumaru, and Yahaba are the bosses.
Board Two A board featuring the Tsuzumi Mansion and Mount Natagumo. Kyogai and Rui are the bosses
Board Three A board featuring the Butterfly Mansion and the Mugen Train. Enmu and Akaza are the bosses.
Board Four A board featuring the Entertainment District. Daki and Gyutaro are the bosses.
Board Five A board featuring the Swordsmith Village. Yoriichi Type 0, Gyokko, and Zohakuten are the bosses. When Hantengu appears, the board becomes a hide-and-seek mode. Landing on certain areas will cause either Sekido, Karaku, Aizetsu, Urogi, or Hantengu turning into Urami to attack and penalize you.
