Xbox: New Update Brings Firmware Improvements and Subscription Management; More Game Reveals Hinted for Gamescom 2024

Microsoft has revealed changes coming to Xbox in an upcoming firmware update, which includes customisation updates and minor quality of life changes.
As highlighted in the Microsoft Xbox Wire Blog post, the new update includes changes to background customisation and personalisation options for players. Players can now choose among dynamic and rotation backgrounds. The setting enables players to adjust the colour of their dynamic background independently of their default profile colour.
Users can now save up to 10 wireless networks on the console and seamlessly connect to them without typing the passwords, and can easily disconnect on the go.
The update also adds the option to update your subscription plan or activate recurring billing directly through your console settings. Furthermore, other updates include the console search, enhancements to the Game Pass page layout and style, and added information in search card results and flashcard store buttons.
In addition to the Xbox controller receiving a firmware update, the Xbox Adaptive Controller will now get enhanced support for a wider range of connected USB accessories. Each port now supports up to 12 buttons, a second stick, and a hat switch.
Further, additional updates include bug fixes aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience for smoother gameplay. Xbox's cloud gaming beta updates now allow you to manage game data and save games for titles played on browser at xbox.com/play, the Samsung smart TV app, and other supported cloud gaming devices.

Furthermore, content creator Parris Lilly revealed over a Reset Era forum post that Xbox has most likely more games in store and is likely to reveal them at Gamescom 2024. He added that multiple people have told him that there were more games in store, but due to time restrictions they couldn't showcase all.
