Project Latitude: More Details About the Rumored Plans To Bring Xbox Games To Rival Platforms Out

Microsoft's rumoured Project Latitude is aimed at porting its Xbox and PC games to rival platforms. According to reports, Microsoft is planning to bring more games to consoles like the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. As of now, it's still unclear whether which games are going to be included. Microsoft has already given greenlight for the likes of Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded to be on the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

According to report by The Verge’s Tom Warren, Microsoft is considering bringing Halo Combat Evolved to the PS5 as part of an internal project called "Project Latitude." Moreover, the report also indicates that the next Gears of War will not be ported to PlayStation.

Meanwhile, Xbox fans are upset that Xbox exclusives are now on rival consoles, and many are questioning why they should keep investing in the Xbox ecosystem when Microsoft is closing studios and releasing games on competing platforms. Most recently, the company shut down Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Games, and Roundhouse Studios.
