Xbox Games Showcase 2024 Roster Seemingly Revealed by Industry Insider

Xbox Games Showcase 2024 is all set to kick off on June 9 2024, which will be followed by a Call of Duty Direct. Xbox Games Showcases are one of the biggest events for gamers as they get to see what’s new in terms of games from the console manufacturer. The one in 2023 brought us some big announcements, such as Starfield, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Forza Motorsport and more. A line-up of a similar stature is expected to grace the 2024 iteration of the showcase according to a new report.

What to Expect from Xbox Games Showcase 2024

A Windows Central report by industry insider, Jez Corden talks about what to expect from the upcoming game showcase and some big names have been thrown around.

State of Decay 3 and Gears of War 6

Starting from State of Decay 3, it seems that the game is looking “far more impressive than its predecessor” and will be adding new narrative elements for immersion. The next title is a big one and is the reveal that fans have been eagerly waiting for years now. Yes, it looks like Gears of War 6 will be a part of this showcase, and we are hoping to receive a cinematic trailer or even gameplay from Coalition if we are lucky.

Perfect Dark, Contraband, and Project 'Latitude'

Then we have Perfect Dark, which is seemingly “shaping up nicely now” and Contraband which faced some issues due to the pandemic and important staff exiting the project. Then we come to the multi-platform agenda that Xbox has been speaking about for some time now. It seems that we might get an idea about whether their pillar franchises will be available on new platforms soon, this plan has been codenamed Latitude. Moreover, it seems that the next game that could be going multi-platform is Doom. Exciting times ahead.

Xbox on Every Screen Details Revealed

In other news, Jez Corden has also provided details about Xbox on Every Screen. Xbox on Every Screen has been the company’s motto for some years and now we have an understanding of what it could mean. Corden stated on the Xbox Two podcast that they have some details on the subject regarding its present state.

According to Corden, it seems that Xbox games will have a custom social UI on every platform. Corden then provided an example stating if players are playing Sea of Thieves on PlayStation, then they will be able to open something like “mini Xbox guides”, something like the Nintendo Miiverse. Corden concludes by stating that the codename for this project is Roseway.
