Asuka is the president of the ESP exploitation institute, an organization which isolates people with Extrasensory Perception and tries to use their abilities to make advances in various fields of study.
She is first seen in film when she is taking Miki Saegusa, an older student of her's, to see Genshiro Shiragami, because he wanted to use Miki's ESP to "hear the voice of a rose". After that, she mainly acts as Saegusa's aide and chauffeur. It is clear that Asuka cares a great deal for Saegusa's well-being.
Near the end of the film, she is present for the defeat of Biollante, the retreat of Godzilla, and the assassination of Dr. Shiragami, After which she drives off with her boyfriend Kazuhito Kirishima.
