Morning Light (名刀・曙光 Meitou Shokou; Dawn Light) is an ancient weapon of the Arashikage Clan. It was given to Snake Eyes by Tomisaburo "Tommy" Arashikage. Snake now carries the sword as a genuine Arashikage.

Snake Eyes unsheathes Morning Light
Morning Light was an ancient katana of the Arashikage Clan. Forged by the blacksmith Onihashi, the blade was passed down through the clan for generations, held by the clan's leader, or by a shinobi deemed worthy enough to wield it. When Snake Eyes passed the first of the Clan's Three Challenges of the Warrior, Tommy granted him this sword, telling him that it was easy to shoot with a gun, but a sword was a weapon of honor. Snake Eyes tried out the sword and Tommy commented that it suited him.
Later, Akiko, the Arashikage Castle security guard, observed Snake Eyes with the weapon. Already suspicious of him, she asked what made him think that he deserved it or could even use it. He asked how hard it could be and she suggested they find out, engaging him in combat. She told him to come at him with all he had, but he was unable to beat her without resorting to trickery. She told him that it was not his skill that was lacking, but his heart, and that a win with no honor was no win at all.
His true test of worthiness would come when faced with his father's killer. After learning the truth, Snake Eyes was faced with the choice of revenge or honor. Realizing his vengeance only led to suffering for the Arashikage, Snake chose to abandon revenge and save his new clan. In stopping Kenta and Cobra, Snake redeemed himself in the eyes of the Arashikage. Sen allowed him to keep the sword, as he was now a true Arashikage Ninja.
