Allyson Tenney, Lisa Scott and Justin Jirgl, Directorate for Laboratory Sciences, will meet with the Sleep Products Safety Council (SPSC) on July 10, 2024, in Alexandria, VA from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This meeting was requested by SPSC to discuss assembling a task group focused on developing options for revising 16 CFR 1632 Standard for the Flammability of Mattresses and Mattress Pads. eFiling Program Specialist will present at the 2024 Risk Management and Captive Insurance Forum, hosted by CSP EduNetworking. Tim Smith, Division of Human Factors, and other CPSC staff will be participating in a virtual (Microsoft Teams) meeting of the ASTM F15.30 Bunk Beds Guardrail task group on 7/10/2024 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM ET. Scott Ayers of the Directorate for Engineering Sciences will present on the CPSC fire safety program during the Mississippi fire & community risk reduction summit. The summit will be held in person in Pearl, MS and is hosted by the Mississippi state fire marshal’s office. The summit will run from 8:30am to 4:00pm ET.
