Commissioner Boyle will meet with Representatives of NAFRA
Commissioner Boyle and staff will participate in a meeting with representatives from the North American Flame Retardant Alliance (NAFRA) on Monday, July 8th from 2:00pm to 2:30pm. The meeting was requested by Owen Jappen. The proposed agenda for this meeting includes a review summary of additional peer reviewed studies relating to halogenated flame retardants since prior NAFRA-CPSC interactions in 2020; review summary of regulatory/legislative action in other jurisdictions since prior NAFRA-CPSC meeting in 2020 relating to flame retardant grouping and class-based approaches. Participants will include Owen Jappen, Director Chemical Products & Technology & Rob Simon, VP Chemical Products & Technology. The meeting will be held virtually via Webex meeting.
