Gen Hasegawa (長谷川 弦 Hasegawa Gen) is one of the characters of Cheer Boys!! series by Ryō Asai. He is a first-year business student in university and a member of the male cheerleading club, Breakers.

Gen has shoulder-length light-brown hair (he wears his hair up in a bun on occasion in both mangas) that has bangs swept to the left side, light-brown eyes and an athletic build.
Personality[]
Gen is a goofy and flirty guy, but he cares about his friends who seems to have a bit of an issue with comparing himself to Sōichirō Suzuki, being unable to see himself as an equal at times. Gen has a tendency to make homophobic and transphobic jokes.

- The name Gen means "string, bowstring, handle" (弦).
