Empowering young people so they can transform their world for the better.
Info
Founded in 1844, the World Alliance of YMCAs is the oldest and largest movement for young people in the world. The World YMCA, based in Geneva, Switzerland, supports approximately 120 national YMCAs and four regional Alliances across the globe. The YMCA empowers young people, aiming to provide them with safe spaces and opportunities to take an active role in transforming their communities. Collectively, the YMCA Movement reaches about 65 million people every year. In July 2022, YMCAs around the world adopted YMCA Vision 2030, our first-ever collective Mission and Vision. Together, we are working to positively impact Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, a Sustainable Planet and a Just World for young people and our communities.

Congratulations on the YMCA St Helens Youth Hub - what a fantastic, safe space for young people to thrive.
Congratulations are in order for YMCA St Helens on the launch of their incredible Youth Hub project. This project will give young people in the community a place to discover the full power of Youth Work! The fantastic centre was designed in conjunction with young service users and will be pivotal in addressing the needs of young people locally. It will deliver a space for them to be safe, comfortable, happy, and authentically themselves. In celebration of the Youth Hub launch, the community and sector partners came together to acknowledge the innovative new venture's accomplishment and share well-deserved accolades with everyone who has made it a reality for young people. YMCA is paving the way for young people to have the life chances they deserve. This is why, after 180 years, the YMCA still matters and continues positively influencing today! #YMCA180✨ #YouthClub #YouthServices #CommunityImpact

‘Dynamic. Flexible. Technology-driven.’ That’s how Natan Jesse of YMCA Cameroon sees the future of work, and he believes young people play a crucial role in shaping that future. Natan is one of the 90 Youth Champions who for six months distributed the global Youth Meaningful Work surveys to young people. Those findings are available in a newly released report, “Crisis of Opportunity: Young people navigating the ‘New Work Order”, available here ➡️ https://bit.ly/3Y72SzQ. The report was jointly commissioned by YMCA and Deloitte Australia. He is one of four champions who was awarded a trip to the YMCA Mombasa Accelerator Summit in October. 👉Click here to see how his perspective on work has shaped his future: https://bit.ly/4cIC7Ge #YMCAVision2030 #MeaningfulWork Africa Alliance YMCA The Y Australia
