Committed to building Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
We celebrate and support all aspects of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and embed the principles of DEIB into each of our business units.
Our unwavering dedication to DEIB is infused in everything we do. We actively champion these values through innovative programs, inclusive and accessible item and content development, and a commitment to empowering every teacher and student to reach their full potential, regardless of their background.
Before we write any piece of code to build a feature or an item to build a test, we require it to be accessible. We keep Universal Design principles and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards in mind from the beginning and throughout our software lifecycle. We were the first organization to deliver online, computer-adaptive braille tests.
CAI's Test Delivery System offers the industry's most robust array of accommodations, embedded supports, and testing tools, all of which can be configured as available either universally or by designation to authorized users. Embedded supports are supplied to any student who wants them, and accommodations are offered only when deemed appropriate to remove construct-irrelevant barriers to accessing test content for the individual student.

Committed to protecting users and their communities
Security is critical to our organization and our clients. We are responsible for the highly secure data that we receive, create, and collect from states and their districts and schools. We are committed to holding our security to the highest of standards as we handle data for tens of thousands of educators and tens of millions of students.
Committed to delivering tests to all students
We anticipate the ever-increasing volume of students testing online with a testing platform that is designed for high concurrency.
CAI’s Test Delivery System uses a hybrid architecture of dynamic and fixed resources. This design provides an unparalleled combination of infinite scalability with full reliability. CAI’s Test Delivery System is both geographically distributed and massively scaled. As the student-to-device ratio approaches 1:1 and more and more students are testing online, our system is designed to seamlessly support continued exponential growth.

Committed to accurate and reliable assessment of what students know and can do
CAI provides industry leading psychometric support for all our state programs. We implement both computer-adaptive interim and summative assessments, in 27 states—vastly more than any other assessment provider. Our innovative psychometric research includes development of new standard-setting procedures, impacts of pandemic-related disruptions on student achievement, design and efficacy of test accommodations, and the development of highly effective rubrics for scoring essay responses.
