🌱 Exciting Times Ahead! 🌱 SAE Innova is thrilled to have organised the Kick-off of our new project, GOV4ALL, aimed at improving soil health in the Mediterranean region through a bottom-up participatory approach. With 60-70% of soils degraded in the EU, soil degradation is a major challenge that cannot be ignored. To address this, we are committed to keeping farmers at the centre of the innovation process. We're establishing five living labs with different action types across Spain, France, and Greece! 🌍✨ In Spain, AlVelAl is a farmer driven association and Menorca Living Soil is led by GOB Menorca a grass-root organisation of conservationists. Our 3 packed days of dynamic workshops in El Batel Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos de Cartagena concluded with a special #ClosingCeremony where every partner shared their aspirations for the next four years. Did you know? In the #EU up to 70% of soils are degraded! This directly contributes to #desertification a major threat tackled by Afforest for Future. We're proud to be part of GOV4ALL, an innovative project funded by #HorizonEU tackling soil health across 5 Mediterranean regions. Where 4 out 5 living labs face severe desertification! Why is it complex? Farmers face a tough choice. They need practices that are: * Effective for soil health * Economical to implement * Deliver good yields * Simple to adopt #GOV4ALL's solution? #Collaboration! We're bringing together #farmers, #scientists, and other stakeholders to co-create solutions. This means: * Understanding needs: We'll explore regional challenges and motivations. * Building awareness: We'll work together to see soil and people as a connected system. * Co-designing solutions: We'll develop practical, scalable ways to improve soil health, directly combating desertification. Here's how #GOV4ALL will achieve this: Exploring Needs & Governance: We'll assess regional needs and validate models for collaborative decision-making. Innovation Hub Network: We'll establish five hubs for sustainable agriculture, supported by strong business models.
