Batman: Arkham is an acclaimed video game series developed by Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Montreal that began with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009 and presumably concluded with Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. It is the first part of the Arkhamverse mythos, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League being the continuation. The game series is based on the DC character Batman; it is notable for having Kevin Conroy voicing Batman and Mark Hamill voicing the Joker as they did in the DC Animated Universe.

Batman: Arkham City[]
Arkham City is the second Batman: Arkham game. It was released October 2011 on PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS. It is the most critically-acclaimed game in the series to date.
Batman: Arkham Origins[]
Arkham Origins is the third Batman: Arkham game and serves as a prequel to both Arkham Asylum and City. It was released October 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS.
Batman: Arkham Knight[]
Arkham Knight is the fourth Batman: Arkham game. It was released June 23rd, 2015 on PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It was the best selling game in June 2015 but was criticized by some players for its over-reliance on the Batmobile.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League[]
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a spin off in the Arkham series, and the fifth game to take place in the Arkhamverse, acting as a sequel to Arkham Knight, with the game taking place five years following the events of the last Arkham title. The game received mixed to average reviews upon release.

Plot[]
Arkham Origins[]
On Christmas Eve in Gotham City, eight assassins were hired by Roman Sionis/Black Mask to assassinate Batman. Batman later discovered that Black Mask never hired the assassins but an imposter named the Joker. Batman ended up defeating the Joker and all eight of his assassins.
Arkham Asylum[]
After defeating the Joker for about nine years, Batman sent him to Arkham Asylum. At the Asylum, the Joker plans to free all the villains kept there with a serum called Titan. Batman defeated the mutated version of the Joker and returned to Gotham.
Arkham City[]
Criminals from Arkham and Blackgate were sent to a portion of Gotham called Arkham City. Batman must find out what Hugo Strange and the Joker are up to. Batman realizes that Hugo Strange works for Ra's al Ghul to make Protocol 10. Batman comes across two Joker, one which is a sick and one which is a healthy. The healthy one is revealed to actually be Clayface, Batman defeats Clayface and the Joker dies of Titan disease.
Arkham Knight[]
Nine months after the death of the Joker, crime has been declining in Gotham. But on Halloween, an alliance consisting of Scarecrow, the mysterious Arkham Knight, and the former assassin Deathstroke will attempt to make Gotham a city of fear. Batman later discovers that the Arkham Knight is Jason Todd, who he thought had been killed by the Joker years earlier. As Batman tries to fight his fears from Scarecrow, his identity as Bruce Wayne has been exposed. In retaliation, Batman defeats Scarecrow, and is later forced to initiate the Knightfall Protocol.
