How to Beat Sinh Slumbering Dragon
Sinh, Slumbering Dragon is the final boss of the Dark Souls 2 Crown of the Sunken King DLC. Sinh is an enormously powerful foe with a wide variety of attacks. He is extremely durable with enormous hit points.
Sinh is best approached in a group of three. His sheer might makes success by any fewer attackers difficult, especially beyond new Game+. Determined attackers, however, can overcome him.
How to Beat Sinh, Slumbering Dragon
Sinh the Slumbering Dragon resides beyond Elana’s lair behind the mural. He sleeps just beyond the final Bonfire. Sinh has several attacks:
- A head-on charge that breaks straight through any impeding terrain
- A wing flap. Roll or block to avoid.
- A wide tail swipe. Roll away to avoid
- A crushing drop in flight. Leap aside to avoid.
- A fiery spread. Flee to the greatest distance possible when he winds up this one, or get behind the head.
- A fireball blast. Roll away.
- A straight-line fiery sweep. Roll away.
Sinh is an endurance match. He requires a lot of time and patience, lots of health, and ample ammo. He spends enough time in the air that ample ranged ammunition/spells are recommended. Two shades wait in the Bonfire outside his lair to assist in the battle. Sinh deals fire and poison damage, thus, gear repelling these elements is recommended. Equipping Lightning spells or Lightning-infused weapons can increase damage done to Sinh.
Getting underneath and behind Sinh is useful, especially sifter removing his tail. Melee fighters should close behind his head and rear leg as much as possible. When he takes off, dodge, then quickly close the gap when he lands.
