PTR was AMAZING from day 1. We began our process in late 2019 due to an unexpected garnishment from the IRS. We were scared to death and didn��t know what to do. We called PTR, and they immediately put our minds at ease and had the garnishment stopped in 24 hours. We began the negotiation process and with their guidance, chose to enter into an “Offer & Compromise” in February of 2020. Needless to say…EVERYTHING came to a screeching halt a month later with the COVID-19 pandemic. The IRS remained closed for over a year. PTR held our hands and were more than fair through this strange and unprecedented situation. Although the IRS was closed…this did NOT stop them from tacking on interest and penalties above and beyond where we started. We were beside ourselves, as even if we had had the ability to pay them in full, doing so would have been impossible!
PTR was right there with us and often times were more counselors than just a service. This unexpected “break” allowed us to get to know our agent/rep at PTR, Naomi Morrow. Naomi, wore many hats…Representative, Advocate, “Psychologist”, and ultimately…Trusted Friend. Through our time together, we even saw her get married, and were excited to hear all about her ceremony and honeymoon when she returned. It’s THIS level of personalized service that kept us calm and clear headed through this process. I have often wondered how she dealt with either of us…she has the patience of a saint…to say the least.
Recently, we were informed that our “Offer” was “Accepted” by the IRS. Candidly…we cried. We never expected the results PTR achieved. We are forever grateful to, Naomi, and the entire PTR team for everything. We ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend PTR to anyone…even those who’ve been denied negotiations/settlements with the IRS. For the first time in my life, I got behind with many important papers (including multiple tax returns) due to an overwhelming medical condition that my wife had. I worked with Jinney Payne at PTR and she was amazing. Very patient with me and helped me through my situation. This is a stressful thing to go through but she was always available to answer any questions I had (which were many), explain the various processes we needed to go through, kept me calm and patient (my situation took over a year) and worked some magic to help me get this monkey off my back. I would work with PTR again if I ever had to (hopefully I never need them again).
