Do not rent these scooters, not safe.

I had my Unagi scooter for less than a month before the back wheel came while riding. It sent me flying, I was sent to the hospital. I received 8 stitches in my head, a sprained wrist and several scuffs. I will not be recommending these scooters to anyone.

Unagi Scooter Lease

So far the service has been positive as far as customer service is involved. The scooters are great and run well and able to carry my fat ass up hills my other scooter required me to manually push assist! The refurbish department needs to step up their refurbishing standards. Here is where I see potential issues. I received one of my membership scooters DOA and pretty well beat up and dirty. The replacement one was acceptable in condition but still very dirty like it was taken off the street and repackaged. I have high hopes for this service.

Unagi scooter is excellent when…

Unagi scooter is excellent when commuting around the city. It provides a smooth and also quick ride to your destination. When servicing is needed, they immediately send you out a replacement scooter so that your “flow” is not interrupted. The support staff was also very attentive to my needs!!! Really like this scooter!! Definitely would recommend!!

We love the convenience of our Unagi scooter. We have the Model One Voyager Unagi 41400. It’s so much nicer than the original, longer battery life, faster speeds, sturdier & nicer color too!! Service provided is great when we had to change scooters.
The only thing we don’t really like is there’s no customer service phone number to call & all contact is only thru email.

This scooter is fun!

I love the scooter! It has pretty good power. Took me a moment to understand the quirks of it, but once you do, you’ll enjoy the ride on your new scoots.

Only complaint are the wheels - they’re small so be careful driving over train tracks (I.g. Seattle street car) or over elevated surfaces. Other than that, I highly recommend for the average commuter.

Great scooter and support, some reliability issues

I use a Voyager model scooter. It's fast and light, very convenient to carry around on stairs, in the trunk of a car, or on public transit. They sometimes have reliability issues - I have had some of them stop working after a few weeks with error codes or stop taking charges. The customer service is great, they are responsive and helpful and do their best to replace scooters quickly, but arranging the shipment of scooters back and forth can become a hassle. But if don't run into these, the scooter is a real workhorse. I have ridden thousands of miles, with several charge cycles per day, and the scooter performs great and is a joy to ride. The range is kind of average (I get about 9 miles, but I'm heavy and ride aggressively and quickly) but if you plan your trips around that, it won't let you down. Overall I'm now very satisfied with my experience, but it took me some time to get there.

Do not buy this scooter - it’s overpriced garbage

The original scooter didn’t get more than 3 rides. The scooters don’t get more than 5 miles in the city before the battery dies. The customer service is abysmal. The lock in to 4 months without any wiggle room when a product is low quality is unacceptable. Extenuating circumstances should allow exceptions to be made. It has been an absolute waste of money. I had 21 days with an unusable scooter. Which I know I will not be compensated for.

Amazing service and scooter!

The entire experience start to finish has been so smooth. I was unsure about ordering a scooter through a subscription but everything was explained so simply and the scooter itself has been an amazing product! 10/10 would recommend to all friends

I barely write reviews, But I can say the Team over at Unagi are amazing.

They are quick to reply! The price to lease a scooter is very reasonable.

And whenever there’s an issue, they are quick to correct the issue and even quick to send me replacement.

I’ve been a Unagi customer for almost 2 years now.

Great setvices

If you need a cheap ride to work then this scooter is for you. I've been a subscriber since the original model, and I regularly travel 7+ miles a day. Without this company I'd have to walk or ride share. Without unagi I'd be up the river without a paddle. Thank you ❤️

Also wanted to shout out the customer service. They've always reached back out and satisfied all issues.

A scooter by Unagi

My scooter was delivered to my front door about five days after I ordered it online. It literally took me about 5 minutes to put the handle bar on and then I just need to fully charge it, approximately 2 hours.
I have to say I love the sleek styling and being able to go for a ride anytime I want. I am happy with the speed, just as it came, but my only negative I have noticed, so far is the 12 mile range. The range makes me nervous!

I'm not gonna lie the scooter is…

I'm not gonna lie the scooter is beautiful and has great features but when it comes to its handles they all have wobbly handles their not as tight as you would think it is, and I get it has the fold which is beautiful but it's a lil wobbly and I've already seen 3 scooter like this mine and someone I know. And then the suspension is horrible because it sent me flying on a tiny bump.

Heavy person

I’m a heavier set individual and this scooter carries my weight with no issues. The battery last longer than anticipated with how heavy I am. And the distance is good as well. I ride this to work and back on a full charge and save gas. I recommend

Wow with definite downsides

Wow; this scooter while it has limitations of suspension, accessories, top speed, hand brakes (100% regenerative has its advantages except friction pressure on rear finder)… lets stop there because some like the braking is an advantage and not a true negative product:
1) First 5 months for $200-350 unless;
2) referring just two friends in this 5 month period for $200 credit.
3) Zero downtime replacement @Zero-$ warranty, including theft!
4) Zero flats or need to worry about wear and tear of traditional tiers.
5) App trip, range and other advantages remove the clutter off the simplified display.
6) Range Vs Weight/size is a great value enabling stair, trunk, bus, train, desk, elevators, escalators, or even your lap accessibility.
7) pedestrian mode of 3 mph may even give crowds a ridable experience; i know my dog loves this constant troting speed.
Will i be keeping mine as a back up to my personal need for suspension & a little more Hill climbing with 300+ weighted rider plus books/tools/bag but i dont know many people who need 1.4miles of 45* max 30* average slope…

Due yourself a favor and try this as your first scooter and regardless of your choice to upgrade or have biers remorse as it collects dust.
157 miles per month average experience.

Overall a great scooter

Overall a great scooter. I had no issues with the one I rented a couple years ago but after taking a break and then renting a new one, I had it break down on me after one month.

Poor overall experience

Incredibly difficult to reach customer service. Answers were unsatisfactory. Product screws became dislodged from main unit that I had to screw back in (not talking about the handlebars). No assembly instructions included.

The scooter works amazing

The scooter works amazing ! , it looks amazing ! And the fact that I can rent instead of buy is amazing . I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to buy a scooter ! I figured I would really only want it for the summer time. so that’s what I did , I’m currently renting for the summer . Best choice out there . Also the ease of use with controls and the Bluetooth app . Not to mention the perks with the membership service is completely worth it ! Which you won’t get anywhere else

I pay for a new one and got a used one

I recibe my scooter and after a few days stop working, they solve the problem sending me another witch was used, that’s not fair since I pay the fee for get a new one
