As The Root reported earlier this week, Monét and Taylor were featured towards the end of the medley that included Childish Gambino, Keke Palmer, Chloe, Latto, Summer Walker, and Coco Jones, giving their take on Usher’s iconic performance of “Bad Girl” with Beyoncé in 2024. Beyoncé sharing the story is a rare public seal of approval from the “Renaissance” star -- one that Monét and Taylor immediately celebrated.
Monét shared Bey’s Instagram story to her own, writing, “OOOOH MYYYY GOD!!!!! na I AM SCREAMING!! WHATTTT!! CAN NOT GRASP AIR I AM UNWELL HOLY S–T I did not expect to pass out today! GAGGEDD…completely,” as Billboard reported. Tagging the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer, she added, “WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!! THE ORIGINAL BAD GYAL I will forever honor you.”
