There are several variants of this mod available with various combinations of the following features:

  • Smaller Kanji Icons Make the kanji icons smaller for things such as attack warnings, healing, or consumable buffs. The attack warning kanji is also moved a little off to the side so it isn't blocking the center of the screen as much.
  • Remove Kanji Icons: Completely remove the kanji icons for things such as attack warnings, healing, or consumable buffs. There is also an option to use the smaller kanji icon for attack warnings and remove all of the other kanji icons.
  • Remove Obstructive Visual Effects: Remove some of the visual effects for things such as healing or using consumable buffs. The player still has a soft glow on their back to show the item is in effect for things like sugar buffs. This only removes the effects that are placed on the player's body, so visual effects such as the one from pink confetti are unchanged. Also removes the visual effects when resting or using the Homeward Idol, so the screen will remain clear and everything visible.

Known Issues

  • The "remove obstructive visual effects" feature of this mod causes the smoke signals on the Ashina Castle rooftops to be invisible. This may make it a bit more difficult to figure out where you are supposed to go at a certain point in the game.

Just put extract the .zip archive and move the sfx folder into Mod Engine's mods folder.
