NOTE ABOUT 1.06: I have released Mod Engine 0.1.16 with support for Sekiro 1.06. As for many mods, they will likely be broken and require updates from the mod authors. If you run into issues like the Sakura dance being broken, your mod is likely not compatible. Some mods may never be updated. If you're interested in playing mods not compatible with 1.05/1.06, I highly recommend downgrading to 1.04. You can find a guide on how to download older versions of Steam games here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/611h5e/guide_how_to_download_older_versions_of_a_game_on/
For those who are running into issues or need help:
I have largely moved on to other modding projects and don't check comments on this page often anymore. I'm very active on the Souls modding discord, so the recommended way to get a response to any issues is to join this server and post your problem in #tech-support.
hello gamers my mod engine isnt working at all has anyone been having this probelm or might know why this is happening? ive had it running fine but now none of my mods works i think its the mod engine ive unistalled every single file from sekiro and redownloaded them just to make sure i didnt mess up of my files but still nothing i cant get any mods to work a weird thing i do notice is that when i try to copy the mod engine files to the sekiro directory it doesnt show the copy bar it jus puts there which i find weird but idk im not to smart with this stuff but i did have it running can anyone help or lmk if its a bug or something
I wanted to confirm that it does work with GOTY edition and that you will not see ".ini" in the name unless you have File Name Extentions checked off in your folders (basic file knowledge but some folks seem a little lost with the naming conventions even though it is likely not the issue).
Some common issues include having a folder in between the "mods" folder and the actual mods. Directly inside the mods folder should be folders such as "parts" or "chr" or "param" or such, depending on the mod you're installing. For example if I'm using a gear mod I should have a "parts" folder within my "mods" folder for the directory to load it.
"just buy it lmao" it such a worthless opinion for someone pirating a game. There's generally a good reason and not because they don't think the game is worth money. It's curious though, why don't cracked games generally not work with mod engines or anything of this sort? There's a good amount of examples from other mod pages.
I was scrolling through the comments but didn't find the answer but if you have multiple dinput8.dll files, not just 2 but more than that. How do you change the modengine file to incorporate all mods? Should i add another "chainDInput8DLLPath=""" for every dinput8?

(edit) Forget it, it's the version I'm using.
