I need a little help here, so i'm using DsMapStudio and i'd like to change some of Kusabimaru's ordinary slashes to that of the black Mortal Blade with both looks, range(and hitbox) and sound, how can i do it?
hello! For me, I just replaced the "c0000.anibnd.dcx" on the resurrection mod in the folder named "chr" with the "c0000.anibnd.dcx" on this mod, super simple and easy, maybe it will work for you "D
I noticed the new update only changes the icon, and I'd like to ask you on how you edited the color from red to black.
I've been trying to make a Modder's Resource regarding Skills' icons, descriptions and all that (you can see them in S:R discord server's #artwork).
I was wondering if you know the best technique on how to remove the background from the description images, I really want to separate the images, especially the practitioners since retargeted moveset mods are now a thing.
DM me in Discord as matalayu#2304 or Mail me here in Nexusmods if you know how to, that'd be appreciated.
this is basically what i did to remove the skill icon backgrounds
i extracted 01_common.tpf.dcx (which is located in Sekiro\menu\hi) with yabber, then opened SB_Icon_02.dds and SB_Icon_04.dds with photoshop (you need a .dds plugin to do this)
then i moved the mortal draw icons in 02 to a new layer, copied the blank skill background from 04 and put it on top of those, then changed those blank ones to "divide" blend mode
then i made a copy of the blank ones, set it to normal blend mode, and put it below everything for later, because the edited icons need a background too
that turns the backgrounds of the skills white if they're aligned correctly, so after that i merged the layers and used the background eraser tool to remove the white (just play around with the tolerance until it looks good)
now you can edit the background-free skill icons as you wish, and when you're done, save SB_Icon_02.dds, copy the edited icons into the other SB_Icon_02.dds which is found in Sekiro\menu\low\01_common.tpf.dcx and scale them down to 50% to match the others, package it all back up with yabber and you're done
hopefully this helps with what you're doing because i don't really know what you mean by "description image", or "practitioner", or "retargeted moveset mod"
You must extract the SFX file with YabberAvacado, and then the individual .fxr files I mentioned in my previous post, then use Dantelion FXR3 Editor to edit those .fxr files. I made a more detailed post in Musashi's Red Eyes explaining the process.
Are the steps for changing Mortal Draw effects color almost similar to the steps that you described in Musashi's Red Eyes mod page? Is there any step that is different and worth noticing? (I'm kinda new to this vfx color modding, and I would really appreciate your help)
dude I tried to make this mod a few months before you got it. the main problem was finding the mortal blade vfx. I searched all the vfx but I ended up giving up because I didn't find it. congrats bro thanks to you I'll be able to play with genichiro's full gear
"Install by dragging the "mods" folder in the downloaded archive into your Sekiro folder (the one with sekiro.exe in it)" it says this in the description but i will provide a more detailed explanation:
right click sekiro in your steam library, hover your mouse over "manage" then click "browse local files" drag the "mods" folder from inside the mod's .rar file into the folder that opens done
To anyone wondering the TAE modified is a106. The SFX files added are f000671120.fxr to f000671123.fxr, and the vanilla ones that are replaced are f000440000.fxr to f000440009.fxr.
