Is it possible to install this with DAO Mod Manager? It says it doesn't recognize it as an override. I'm fine installing it manually, but I like having the option to run a compatibility check in Mod Manager.

i'm month late but i had so much trouble with figuring out how to add override mods to DAO Modmanager so i thought i'd respond anyways to help others that are lost!! i think the issue you're having is just with override files for Modmanager- not with this mod being compatible!
you should download and read the manual for the modmanager (i only read the .html file and it solved my problem)
Or i can recap and maybe save you a few seconds of download time! :)
go to the Override Creator tab, New Override Packet, Name it whatever you'd like to remember which mod it's for (for Pineappletree's Vibrant Colours i just put Pineapple's pallette) and hit OK (the german word is cancel), then in the bottom left there will be a spread with a bunch of folders leading to other folders- you have to select the bottom one with the name you just picked:
BioWare>Dragon Age>packages>core>override>*folder with the name you chose*, then you will drag the unzipped folder of the mod you want to install into the part that says 'drop your files here' (bottom right)- if you're unable to drop the mod folder and it shows a circle with a line through it that means you haven't selected/clicked on the folder (when it's selected the name will be highlighted in blue and the blank 'drop your files here' section will be a white spreadsheet- if you select any other/invalid folder this section will stay blank and you won't be able to place any files), add any touch ups you'd like such as the link to the mod in the url section/the modders name/mod version/description- none of it is mandatory but it is nice to have things organized and it will be easy to see if you have an old version of a mod, to finish hit Create Override Packet, it will do it's thing and you'll see the mod in the bottom section on the main Mods tab (.override mods with a gold shield, .dazip with a silver one), right click, install, and you're good to go!
**I'M GONNA BE HONEST** i know there's another path under Dragon age>modules>single player that also has a folder with the name you chose that you can drop the files into but i don't have a flaming clue what the specific difference is so i just stick to the '>core' path

i hope this helps anyone in the same confusing and frustrating situation i was in!! if i got things wrong don't be afraid to reply and correct me, or if you know why one would have a mod in the >single player section you could also reply and share your beautiful modding knowledge <<33 remember to be safe and check people's reviews before installing mods! <<33

Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the effect of buffs and debuffs like Fortifying Presence and Mark of Death during cutscenes?

Which are the most cpu intensive modifications?. Because I'm having attacks and abilities with insane delays of 2/3 seconds. When i uninstalled it the difference was massive. My cpu is shit4 but I still want to use this mod

I don't like the autoloot and other qol stuff so I deleted them and now I'm unable to loot ANYthing at all. I click on the bodies and the chests and nothing at all happens. I even tried adding the files back to the mod folder and nothing happens.
[Edit] Just tried a new game without the qol files and can't loot anything there either. The only other mod I have that affects looting stuff is Lock Bash

Fixed it: Had to uninstall and reinstall the entire mod, then delete the qol files, before running the game again.

And now all the chests and crates are completely empty and I can't pick any herbs

for some reason, this mods creates stutters and slowdowns (not imediate, and they are not constant).

anyone knows wich of the modules does this? or is it cause by the main Mod?

For me it's happening always but i don't think is because of this mod. Pretty sure is my shitty AMD pc.

I´ve been using the Increased difficulty mod cause the game is too easy for me. Has been working quite good until now, but just after downloading this mod it seems like the combat got extremely easy again. Anyone knows if there is a conflict between the two of them? Cause combat was fine before installing Dain's fixes. Pretty sad, i really like this mod

This may be a dumb question, but I only installed the core and bufixes, and I'm not sure how to tell if the mod is working. I dropped the Dain's Fixes into the override folder, then deleted all subfolders other than _Core and Bug Fixes.  Is there something easy I can test in-game to see if those bug fixes are actually applied?

You can pick something simple from the Bug Fixes list, like "being able to give Alistair's restricted items to other party members in camp", or "dropping out of stealth when receiving friendly effects".

Does anyone know how to turn the varathorn's armor back to its original silver color? I deleted the file but it's still the ironbark version.

It's already saved as ironbark armour in your save. You have to load a save before acquiring it or add a new one via console.

I was struggling with this despite the fact I deleted the file. I found out it was because of the Dain's Fixes compatibility patch for Expanded Item Sets it also modifies Varathorn's armor so if you have that mod make sure to delete it as well.

Game keeps crashing on startup and when I do make it in, the battle against the refugees outside of Loathering causes the game to crash.
