Apparently some people are receiving the invalid game data warning after using the 2 most updated saves, it doesn't seem to be happening to everyone so I'm going to try to figure out what exactly is triggering it. For now, your best bet is to use a throw-away Steam account and family share your games to it if you want to make sure nothing happens to your main account.
[Update - April 6th 2018] I have had no luck identifying the problem for nearly a year now, some people still are unaffected while others get flagged within a few weeks. So as I said originally, I recommend using a throw-away Steam account. I won't be adding new saves or updating existing ones any longer as the Dark Souls Remaster is right around the corner, I'll most likely be making megamules for it.
[Update - May 26th 2018] My Dark Souls Remaster Mega Mule is out, you can download it here - https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1430
So can someone help me? I have been following every single step and any other alternative for this save. And every single time all it does is give me the character with the outfit and 500k souls. However, I don't get any weapons or anything. How do I fix this?
This got me banned thanks EDIT : just got unbanned by Bandai Namco support, they confirmed me that the "Wanderer" character was flagged for invalid data.
i got also flagged, and the reason they told me was cuz importing saves is against the rules, nothing about ivalid items or other things, i did a invalid items check with item discarder on an other account and everything was fine, of course i deleted the 4 seeds, so i assume if you cut you're internet connection completely off while importing the save then you will be not flagged
You get banned by using a mod that deactivates the games auth for save files or changing those numbers to your steam id, every savefiles has his own ID that is linked to your Steam account, when you change it you get a flag for "invalid data" since its not yours
you cant just trust what bandai namco admin says, bec i read somewhere that they actually didnt know what got you banned. They just told you what probably got you banned, and its not 100 percent true. Bec if so, why i didnt get banned using this save. And some people too, i always check my ds3, and its still not banned since 2018
you dont get penalized by the save itself since you cant even boot up the game with them, you get banned by using a mod to let you use those savefiles.

I would always load up the save offline, remove the seed, boot it up online.
Never had a warning or ban.
