Friend and I both downloaded the mod and installed it - just drag-and-drop into the game directory with the exe, it works for me, but doesn't do anything for her, and the only difference I can see is that she's on Linux. I know it says that 'Wine/Proton tends to crash,' but the game appears to be entirely unchanged. Is this something you've encountered before? She even just now did a fresh install to make sure there was no weird data left over from previous mods or something, and still no results. When you said 'tends to crash,' do you mean the whole game, or is this some 'just keep launching it until it works' thing?

in the description it says discord disabled some features for the invites and the only solution is to do the mod anew from scratch. i would understand this in the way that discord invites dont work as of now.
Hey all, no idea if this thread is still active at all, but I'm having an issue where this only works one way. I can join 2 of my friends with the mod, but they can't seem to join me. I don't have any issues on other games or even ds3. Just with the mod active. Any ideas?
what is the unrecognized version of ds3 error mean? It works by itself it won't work with convergence for my friend both have steam version both have same files ?? what could it be
I had the same issue, it ended up being a mod that improved the framerate that caused the game to not start, it usually did but just not with Painted Worlds. Worth looking at what other mods you have running.
