Our Mission Statement

The Lloyd’s Lab is the heart of innovation for Insurance. An award winning space dedicated to accelerating and fostering new products and solutions fit for the needs of our customers around the world. The Lloyd’s Lab was set up in 2018 to foster ideas which support our market’s shared goal of sharing risk to create a braver world.

Our main programme is an InsurTech accelerator programme which aims to help innovative ideas gain traction and success in our market. Located in the heart of the world’s specialist insurance market, the Lloyd’s Lab gives InsurTechs access to a coworking space in the iconic building and the chance to develop their ideas alongside their target audience.

Since our establishment, the Lloyd's Lab has grown to encompass a diversity of programmes and initiatives, to support insurance innovation at all phases, our support includes our FutureMinds programme, Lloyd's Lab Challenge and our Launchpad Network. Apply for Lloyd’s Lab Accelerator Cohort 13

We are accepting applications for Cohort 13 under 3 themes, these are ‘New Products’, ‘Data, Models & Processes’ and ‘Building resilience and supporting the transition in a rapidly changing Middle East & Africa (MEA) landscape’.

To help accelerate these products, the Lloyd’s Lab programme offers:

Access to expert mentors and proximity to key advisors, potential trading partners & investors. ‘Building resilience and supporting the transition in a rapidly changing Middle East & Africa (MEA) landscape’ theme participants will have access to Middle Eastern and African focused specialists.
Participants can work out of Lloyd’s in London or wherever best fits their business.

Accelerating innovation in the insurance industry

The Lloyd’s Lab was launched in 2018 to modernise the insurance industry and harness the opportunities presented by InsurTechs. For five years, the Lloyd’s Lab Accelerator has seen over 100 InsurTechs, start-ups and innovation-focused companies go through the Lloyd’s Lab and bring their innovative solutions to the market.
