I paid $800/hour at Legoland. For my son to throw basketballs. Not actually. But I did pay 20 bucks for him to shoot 8 balls... into a suspiciously undersized hoop. And on your 6th birthday, it doesn’t get much better that that. So what happened? He took all the shots in about 90 seconds. Which, at an hourly rate, works out at $800. But I paid it. More times than I’d like to admit. And here’s the thing. I talk to service providers afraid to charge a few hundred bucks an hour. For expertise they’ve often invested decades and tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to learn. So, friendly reminder. We are all ultimately ‘emotional’ buyers. And when you charge based on the *value* you provide. More often than not, you get paid what you deserve. After the beer-spilling incident at last month's game, there's NO WAY Dave will sit next to John at the game (even though they are office-mates at work). For years, a key staple of Spinzo's social seat selector has been the "who's going" feature which not only lists names, but exactly where the person is sitting. Ideas You Can Steal 012/099: Once Annual Vision Day. I'll explain... Every January at Another we host a Vision Day for the team. It’s a full day offsite where we get transparent about how we did last year, and what our goals are for the year ahead. We have the team build vision boards, we play some games, and take some time to get honest about what changes would be nice to see. Like most things for me, I brought this over from TOMS as Garrett instituted for the retail team. This first one ever kicked off with a game where you had to get a cookie from your forehead to your mouth without using hands. Honestly very fun. The idea to steal here? Take a day to help everyone understand how their piece fits into the overall puzzle. Get into a creative location, play some stupid games, have some drinks after. Year after year people can forget which part of the vision they contribute to. This is a fast and easy way to remind everyone.

January at the gym is always a bit crazy, right? It's packed with new faces, though most disappear by Valentine's Day. I'm torn between being slightly annoyed and genuinely admiring their effort. Being an impactful leader 3. Being a solid friend And hey, I've got big dreams for my business too. Last year? Smashed it – doubled the business and my team. But am I relaxing? No way.
