We are proud to announce that our very own Chris Roquemore has been named President of the Georgia Crop Improvement Association. This 79-year-old organization works hard to ensure genetic purity and identity for Georgia’s turf, peanut, wheat, soybeans, and organic industry. Chris has been with Patten Seed/Super-Sod for 22 years and currently serves as the Vice President of Seed and Lawn Coach. He looks forward to working for the entire agriculture community of the Peach State and appreciates the opportunity to do that alongside good friends.

Congratulations to Leverne McCrea, Kitrail Hargrove, Brandon Jordan and Johnny Burgess for being February's Truck Drivers of the Month. 🚚 Way to go to each of you and thank you for your outstanding work as a driver for Super-Sod. Keep "doing it better today than we did Yesterday"!

We advise against using wheat straw to cover lawn grass seed. As seen in the photo, when it's spread, it increases the likelihood of sprouting. It's better to use a light layer of Soil³ compost. Not only does it provide more seed to soil contact, it also gives essential nutrients and retains moisture, most importantly, it doesn't bring in weed seeds! 🌱 #nowheatstraw #soil³isbest #seeding
