It’s no secret that I’m passionate about #XR, but wearable technology is another interest of mine. Samsung Electronics gave us a first glimpse of its upcoming Galaxy Ring, and it looks like it could be a gamechanger. I’m very interested to see how new use cases will develop with this new technology. https://lnkd.in/g8bKyVYj
Great news to see #Samsung Galaxy Ring! SOMEDAY, I hope to have a version of IOring which is a ring you wear. IoRING was originally designed on paper as a Ring you wear to receive vitals. That ring would provide a variety of io, because I/O is how you communicate with a computer. But it is my love of #Ophthalmology that made my first IORING product to be glasses. We knew it would happen and just took a back seat and waited…. BOOM. #raybanmeta There are some extremely smart people and one thing they all have in common, Hugo Swart - is that their hardware has #Qualcomm Inside. BOOM. 💥
This year is going to be huge for XR and wearables. The trend to combine healthcare and wearables could be the next big growth driver.
There are only so many vitals that can be tracked on the finger’s surface. Nevertheless, it could be a nice input device
Finally, after so many rumors! I wonder if this may be connected with the XR headset, too
Better than Oura Ring?

5moI think the latest Meta RayBan glasses launched the wearable craze in October. I was at LensCrafters yesterday and they told me production was struggling to keep up because demand was surprisingly high. I’m getting prescription lenses put in so my AI assistant can travel with me throughout the day. Even better, it uses a Qualcomm chip. :-)
