Love to see JB get his flowers. I have been watching JB since his first Celtics appearance and remember thinking "He is the best player on the court". Then, Tatum got signed and all the limelight went to him. As a PLAYER that has to sting. They are very comparable in so many aspects but, game after game after game, JB would have to hear the MVP chants for his counterpart and got minimal recognition himself. Kudos to him for being a selfless player and taking it all in stride. It has all come full circle due to his patience and ability to see it through. JB for MVP!!
Best thing he did? Didn’t run and jump to another team after the “failure” his team had last year. Imagine if he had jumped ship…
