Both Lorenza and I each made a donation today to support Waterloo co-op students. But why? We both work in Co-operative and Experiential Education (CEE) and we know the fantastic work being done by staff to support students. But we also know despite our best efforts, some students need extra support. The CEE fund is not an operational fund, but a safety net for students. The fund is there to help students who were overlooked during their first work-term and are in desperate need of mentorship and financial assistance. The fund is there to help students participate in community building, and work at local non-profits who otherwise would not have the means to hire them.
