Supply Chain Consultant - US

CCI is growing rapidly and seeking to hire an experienced Supply Chain Consultant to provide consulting expertise and capability development to our clients. This requires the Consultant (Independent Contractor) to possess a deep understanding of continuous improvement best practices and to use this knowledge to work with the client and project leaders to formulate and implement plans and strategies for effective implementation and the delivery of transformational results. During execution of this plan, the Senior Consultant will coach and mentor client teams to take ownership of the implementation.

This is a remote/home-based independent contractor position in the US that requires frequent travel to client sites throughout the US. This role offers a highly competitive billable day rate and hours per month will depend on client needs (please note there is no fixed monthly fee and days available will vary with client needs).

Requirements

In order to excel in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field is required, while an MSc/MBA is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is beneficial
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting and/or supply chain in Manufacturing operations, with Continuous Improvement experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with use of structured problem-solving tools with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Change management & Coaching skills
  • Experienced Trainer and Facilitator
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office suite. Ideally some experience with Minitab and/or MS Project
  • Travel up to 50% of the time and possible travel abroad when needed

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading client assessment of Supply Chain Best Practices and performance, to assess client's overall maturity stage
  • Guiding clients in creating action plans to close the gaps identified during assessment, and support them in the execution of those plans
  • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives by proactively assessing customer needs on an ongoing basis, and formulating action plans where required
  • Leading project teams of both CCi and client personnel in the implementation of improvement methodologies (DMAIC, Lean tools, etc.) to deliver quick wins for clients
  • Leading the implementation of Daily Management Systems (DMS) (Tier structures with routine meetings, visual boards, problem solving)
  • Delivering Best Practice related training at operator, middle and senior management levels, as well as coach these managers in the implementation of these practices, with the purpose of building the internal capability of the client
  • Coaching and mentoring client teams and CCi consultants to take on more expanded roles
  • Gathering and tracking information of key account metrics, and report on client performance
  • Ensuring that personal administrative responsibilities (timesheets, expenses, etc.) are done correctly and timely
  • Contributing to the CCI knowledge base by reviewing current CCI material and submitting improvement suggestions and assisting with product development when required
