Position Description


As one of the early members of the growth team, the SEO Manager will drive all of our organic search engine optimization efforts. They will lead the charge on strategy, operations, and reporting to drive customer acquisition and profitable growth.


We're seeking someone who is ready to take on a challenging, collaborative and hands-on role, and who is looking to make a significant impact from day one. They will get access to a network of industry experts for thought leadership and mentorship and work closely with the entire growth team. Key Responsibilities


  • Drive the SEO program including the strategy, implementation, reporting, consulting and daily communications.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies that drive consistent revenue growth through organic search.
  • Own the full content cycle, including ideation, keyword research, planning, managing writers, editors and graphic designers that we work with for content development, all the way to publishing. Post publishing: monitoring performance and working cross functionally to make optimizations (SEO, CRO) that ensure ranking and conversion success.
  • Run SEO-forward CRO experiments across content/content buckets that push the needle on CVR across our owned content.
  • Strategize and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement scalable, ROI-positive link building campaigns.
  • Tactical execution of technical audits, keyword research, content gap analysis, on-page optimization, content wireframing, and reporting/tracking.
  • Develop and run an aggressive and scalable content strategy that drives customers towards our brand/product from throughout the purchase funnel, leveraging the resources available to you such as AI, writers, and developers.
  • Leverage the tools available you to dominate our branded SERPs and create a generally positive sentiment & ease of access for customers looking for the brand. Prevent competitor intrusion and ill sentiment from entering our branded SERPs via defense.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for all SEO-related questions and endeavors.
  • Educate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evangelize SEO best practices.
  • Learn and leverage AI tools to accelerate implementation of content strategy, competitor research, and technical auditing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, AI, strategies, and algorithm changes and communicate these findings to stakeholders.


Skills, Knowledge And Expertise


  • 3-5 years of SEO experience, ideally at an agency or a startup, with a proven track record of driving organic conversion and revenue growth.
  • A deep understanding of all areas of SEO, with a strong emphasis in content marketing.
  • Strong editorial skills and an eye for creating high-quality, engaging content that drives conversions.
  • A strong understanding of the marketing funnel as it relates to customer acquisition strategy.
  • The ability to create, communicate, and implement SEO strategies across teams and stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration.
  • A general understanding of growth marketing areas outside of SEO, such as paid media, copywriting, A/B testing, product, and retention marketing.
  • Strong project management capabilities and operational expertise.
  • Experience with analytics and SEO tools such as GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, etc.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SEO-related code (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and popular CMS platforms (primarily Shopify, but Webflow and Wordpress are great to have too).
  • You are a well-rounded and experienced SEO professional with a strong, proven success record in content marketing and strategy.
  • You understand the importance and place of branded v.s. non-branded search results.
  • You are passionate about content marketing and have a proven track record of creating high-quality, engaging content that drives conversions and supports overall growth strategy.
  • You are an out of the box thinker.
  • You have a preference towards collaboration and aren't afraid to ask questions or for help.
  • You have excellent analytical skills and put data at the heart of your SEO strategy.
  • You are a problem solver with an eye for detail.
  • You have high levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • You are entrepreneurial and relentlessly resourceful, always curious and learning.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
