What We Do

PetScreening™ is the fastest growing pet-property tech SaaS company. We help property managers and housing providers manage residents' pets and assistance animals (service animals/emotional support animals/companion animals/etc.). Our proprietary screening platform adds an additional layer of liability protection by having a standardized process when dealing with household pets and assistance animals.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to support our existing products and lead our QA processes into new and exciting markets.

About The Role

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and help us grow our people and processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing QA processes, spotting defects early in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and leading a team of QA professionals to new heights of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product and development teams to understand requirements, system designs and translate them into meaningful and effective test plans and cases.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA metrics for efficient defect detection.
  • Ensure the early detection of defects in our SDLC process by refining and optimizing processes and tools.
  • Promote transparency into the QA process and findings to improve communication across teams and stakeholders.
  • Be a stakeholder in all aspects of our agile development cycle, including sprint planning, story refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Support continuous integration and deployment strategies that will allow for faster, more reliable software releases.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software development.
  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC and QA methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate complex issues to various stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with QA Automation tools and practices
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright and/or Cypress
  • Experience working in growth-stage technology companies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
