About This Role:
Proactively prepare for the VHA implementation wave of iFAMS by performing data cleansing techniques with an emphasis of understanding and minimizing future audit risks as of result of the system implementation.
Responsibilities:
Perform a gap analysis of the As-Is financial processes and corresponding data to the future state financial system and document the gaps and risks identified.
Identify processes that are inefficient, non-compliant with financial policy/guidance, and not auditable and document recommendations for process improvement.
Identify and document the VHA data populations and prioritize data populations for data cleanse efforts.
Manage and analyze large sets of financial data to produce financial reports, analytics, and trends. Report to the client on key financial trends and impacts to operations.
Support the development of financial quality assurance (QA) measures and oversight reporting on accounting operations.
Lead the review of financial statement system documentation reviews to identify potential impacts to data cleanse efforts and recommend remediation strategies.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to manage the data cleansing programs and efforts.
Facilitate large client engagements to generate standard processes and gain concurrence on process improvement recommendations, financial analytics/metric results, and corrective actions.
Experience facilitating in-person and remote workgroup meetings with successful mediation practices.
Ability to communicate with the client on work products including corrective action recommendations, financial reporting trends, analytic results and data cleanse progress etc.
The "Need-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
Mastery knowledge of modeling tools and researching large data sets.
Expert knowledge of data visualization, programming languages, AI/automation (e.g., javaScript, Python coding, statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS), structured query, Structured Query Language (SQL) Database Coding.)
Knowledge of appropriate VA policies, operating procedures, financial requirements; and, of prevailing audit management practices.
Expert knowledge of developing new ways to resolve major technical problems utilizing AI/innovative technological solutions.
Understanding of financial management/ financial system implementation processes with an emphasis on data cleansing
Experience with VA data cleansing and/or iFAMS program knowledge
Momentum experience (financial management system being implemented within VA)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Great attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Self-directed and eager to tackle new projects and generate innovative ideas
Willingness to learn and grow with the organization
