THE OPPORTUNITY:
Transtar’s growth plan is to leverage their established distribution network and bring new product lines to market, fulfilling the company’s mission of “Simplifying complex vehicle repair to keep the world moving.”
This job offers a chance to join a growing company and play a crucial role in expanding Transtar's products. The Associate Product Manager will work under the VP of Product Development and focus on helping Transtar expand its automotive aftermarket products and services. This includes managing current product goals, collaborating with different departments, and supporting overall company strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Management: Update and maintain product data in systems like JDE and our database. This involves various tasks like updating descriptions, prices, and managing product information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product management team to understand their needs and issues.
- Analysis: Analyze product data to identify areas for improvement and create reports for the business.
- E-commerce Support: Improve and maintain data for online platforms, ensuring all necessary information is available.
- Strategy Development: Help develop strategies for product and channel growth, including market analysis and competitor research.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of products from development to discontinuation.
- Sales Support: Assist sales and purchasing teams in meeting revenue and purchasing goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Develop training materials for sales teams and work with marketing to create sales tools.
- Marketing Support: Provide marketing content and specifications to ensure effective digital marketing of products.
- Packaging: Work with various teams to develop cost-effective packaging for product lines
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in product management preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in product strategy and management.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and market research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Change agility.
