The individual in this position is responsible for the overall development and planning activities helping to generate annual giving funds for Community Health of South Florida (CHI) and its fundraising sister organization the Community Health of South Florida Foundation (the CHI foundation). Responsible for planning and implementing creative digital and direct mail appeals, with a high degree of customization and emotional appeal. Responsible for managing CHI’s Employee Giving Program (The Caring Society). Responsible for donor stewardship activities and Donor journeys. Development Liaison to Managers at all CHI health center. Work closely with Director of Development and other staff to develop fundraising strategies. Work closely with CHI Communications Team to coordinate digital and printed communication. Work closely and collaboratively with CHI’S Communications Team to ensure consistency and integrity of message and brand. Identify and refer potential Major Giving donors to Director of Development. Support the implementation of a prospect management software to support fundraising operations. Record actions in fundraising database on a timely and accurate basis, including the filing of contact reports for all face-to-face visits. Serve as an active prospect identifier. Help move annual donors through the donor pyramid into the next giving level. Develop creative connections between and among people, events, programs, and their associated circles. Develop and maintain efficient systems for data cleansing, data entry, prospect research. Oversee budgets, progress, deadlines, goals and objectives related to annual giving and donor relations. Helps to coordinate special events, ceremonies, and fundraising programs. Develop Content and updates for CHI Foundation website. Participates in the process of organizational goal evaluation and development, as needed. Participates in the development of strategies to achieve the organization’s objectives, as needed. Assist with grant writing as needed. Participates in CHI’s Journey to Excellence as a leader. Monitors funding opportunities to support the CHI mission. Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism. Adheres to Confidentiality Policies & Procedures / HIPAA Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 4 years of: Donor Stewardship and Fundraising Operations experience preferred. CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Excellent computer, analysis, communication and presentation skills. Must be computer literate.
