The Role
The BLACE team is looking for a scrappy, detail-oriented Account Manager who is interested in building a world-class organization from the ground up. We are actively seeking applicants who are comfortable both with client-facing projects and internal operational work, and who are equally in their element at a board table, gala event, or brand activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to all inbound opportunities; qualify viable inquiries and coordinate initial prospective client calls.
- Convert event inquiries into booked events; in order to consistently meet or exceed your individual sales goals.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with existing and past clients to ensure exceptional service and cultivate new/repeat sales opportunities.
- Coordinate and lead site visits with clients.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure contracts.
- Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate proposals.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs by leveraging all our exclusive venues portfolio.
- Consistently maintain CRM to ensure it contains the most accurate and up to date information.
- Work within the BLACE platform and utilize prospecting & project management tools such as Salesforce, PandaDoc, Monday.com, etc
Qualifications
- You are an “all-around athlete.” We are a start-up, which means no two days are the same. You are a team player who is willing to do what needs to get done, when it needs to get done.
- You are proactive, solution-oriented, patient and have a positive attitude.
- You are highly detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have 5+ years of experience in the events industry in New York City.
- You have relevant sales experience and a strong knowledge of sales tactics in the events industry.
- You are thoughtful and committed to the BLACE mission of becoming the gold standard and best in class online platform for short-term luxury, blank space, and event coordination.
- You have a working knowledge of all Microsoft programs and systems (e.g., Office, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote).
- You have exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to manage day-to-day relationships with all levels across the organization.
- You are passionate about the event industry, excellent client relations and facilitating successful experiences.
