This is part of our broader vision to be the “Legal Service Hub” for organizations, responsible for how legal work is raised, allocated, managed, and resolved. The Position

This Account Executive role at Checkbox is responsible for managing full lifecycle sales for new mid-market accounts. This means you will be involved in every step of the sales process from initial contact to negotiating and closing the deal. You will be responsible for understanding prospects’ needs, pains and desired business outcomes, and aligning Checkbox’s value proposition to address those specific needs.

 

In this role, your focus will be on our recently launched Matter Management product, working with the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, or Legal Operations from mid-market companies, to streamline intake and triage of legal requests across the business and getting visibility and reporting across all legal work.

 

As part of our scaling North American team, we’re looking for a “company builder” who is excited at the challenge to build and champion the organization’s go-to-market strategy, culture and success, and will be working closely with the CEO to do so.

 

In this position, you will:

  • Conduct thorough research and discovery to qualify potential mid-market prospects
  • Engage with in-house legal teams to understand their business challenges, pain points and goals
  • Convey how Checkbox’s solutions can address prospects’ specific needs and deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Position Checkbox against other solutions (including internal tools)
  • Manage and nurture meaningful relationships with prospects
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product and customer success
  • Forecast, manage, execute & report on your sales plan
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and communications in the CRM
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets

 

Essential

  • At least 5+ years of experience selling SaaS technology
  • Proven sales foundation built through formal training and practical experience
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • High standards of excellence but understands that success does not happen overnight
  • A genuinely curious mind to understand each customer and the market
  • Comfortable with objection handling IT, procurement, and budget objections
  • Hard-working with a strong internal sense of urgency
  • Able to work resourcefully to deliver results without the backing of a universally known brand or robust sales infrastructure
  • A positive outlook, growth mindset and the ability to take accountability for both success and failure
  • Coachable, humble, and comfortable with delivering and receiving feedback

Remuneration & Benefits

  • OTE of USD 220,000 made up of base salary and commissions on license revenue “paid-as-you-close” with uncapped accelerator rate for exceeding target
