“As more and more brands start to think about retail media offsite, they’re getting more sophisticated and putting it into their media mix models, I think folks are experiencing mixed results,” Rachel Tipograph founder & CEO of MikMak said during a Cannes Lions session with Walmart last month. “They have this expectation that it’s going to perform like lower funnel media [on retailer sites] and it doesn’t.
