You're leading a large group discussion. How can you ensure everyone reaches a consensus?
This is a great opportunity to design a safe container, and build trust in the facilitator. I like to use this method: 1. Introduce some basic, familiar agreements (ex. not interrupting). 2. Have individuals design one agreement that would make the container safer for them. 3. Move the individuals into duos/trios to share their desired agreement and choose one to share to the greater group. (The frequency of these rounds depends on the size of the full group). 4. Each group shares their single agreement with the whole room. In my experience, there is significant overlap in the replies, so the final product is rather compact. Not only does this process allow for a safer container, the group is already working on building consensus.

The Dark Side of Software Development: Job Stress amongst Autistic Software Developers
Proceedings of the 53rd Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences | 2020
The software workplace is a competitive space and presents significant stressors for software developers. Autistic software developers are more susceptible to stress, and due to the unique challenges they face in addition to those faced by the majority, neurotypical software developers. There is very little research addressing stressors for autistic people in the software workplace and how to mitigate those stressors. This paper synthesizes the existing literature relevant to software workplace stressors for autistic people and proposes a framework to guide further research to investigate the implications of and mitigate stressors in the software industry for autistic software developers.
