Why is a scorecard an effective method for evaluating vendor performance?
The only way that performance can be assessed is to have a two-way conversation. A scorecard provides a structured way to walk through that conversation and a quarterly or yearly review provides a cadence on which to have the conversation. Many companies do not structure in one key question for each metric, “what are we doing that hinders you meeting this metric or helps you meet this metric”?
