    For October’s National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, District Attorney George Gascón launched “Bye Bye Bullying”, a video contest for San Francisco middle and high school students.     For October’s National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, District Attorney George Gascón launched “Bye Bye Bullying”, a video contest for San Francisco middle and high school students. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural video contest, the District Attorney is calling upon students to get creative and make a video about cyber bullying.

    “Cyberbullying is a serious problem affecting 52% of students in the United States,” said District Attorney George Gascón. “The ‘Bye Bye Bullying’ video contest inspires kids to be thoughtful and creative about addressing cyberbullying and encourages them to be part of solution.”

    The submission period for “Bye Bye Bullying” is from October 3 to Nov 8, 2013. Contestants will create a 60 second video on any of the following themes:
    • What is cyberbullying?
    • What are the effects of cyberbullying
    • What can you do to prevent cyberbullying?

  • "Roofied" Drink Safety Campaign

    Drugged drinks ("Roofies") in clubs often put people at risk for robbery or sexual assault. Most of these crimes are unreported. This project helps raise awareness of the issue and gives guidelines for the preservation of evidence if a crime has occurred.
