Here's how you can stay positive and resilient in a telecommunication services career despite failure.
First, recategorize the unsuccessful attempt in your mind. Failure is a dead-end word that implies no progress is possible. In the contrary, you have now eliminated a path that doesn’t work. Think about what the roadblocks were. Was there a miscommunication between you and your client or manager about the outcome required? Is there a way to streamline or expand the process to reach your goals? Now you are ready to explore a different path with new and valuable information.

How do you confirm the interview details without sounding too eager?
I would add that you can match tone with the person who notified you of the interview, especially if they are extremely formal. That being said, a more casual notification shouldn’t you are completely casual in return. Someone high up enough could see it as rude. Stick with fairly formal language. “Dear Mr. Jones” is likely better than “Hi Bob!,” for instance. A way to keep things more formal is to avoid contractions: “did not” for “didn’t” for example.
