Topicality is CORE to Google Search We've known that Google sees the world as a web of topically-related content for some time now, but in the article linked below Roger Montti draws from an interview with Elizabeth Tucker, Google's Director of Product Management to show just how central topicality is. What this means to you as an SEO is finding relevant keywords is only a start, not even close to the whole research task for SEO in 2024. Why content changes in an organizations and how organizations respond to that need, for the plan, operations, and the publishing and maintenance cycle. Content managers would benefit from more visibility into why content items require changes so they can estimate the effort involved with different types of changes. They need a root-cause analysis of their content bugs. Some changes are planned, but even unplanned changes can be anticipated to some degree. Changes also vary in their urgency and timescale. Vendors know they aren't delivering the right product, but they are trying to solve the wrong problems. Janus notes: "the CMS market leaders are looking elsewhere." If your CMS is too unwieldy to use, adding a Wix-like page builder or a Clippy-like chatbot isn't going to fix the underlying core problems.
