PEOPLE ON THE MOVE: Bryan Smith | Assistant Plant Manager | Columbia, SC We are thrilled to announce the #promotion of Bryan Smith to the role of Assistant Plant Manager at our Watsontown Brick Columbia, South Carolina location! Bryan's journey at General Shale spans four years, during which he has showcased outstanding #dedication and #leadership. Starting as a Utility Worker, Bryan's relentless drive and commitment saw him rise through the ranks to become an Operator, and eventually a supervisor. With a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Management under his belt, coupled with an illustrious 15-year tenure in the Army, where he completed four tours in Iraq, Bryan brings a wealth of expertise and a strong sense of discipline to his new role. Outside of work, Bryan is a devoted family man, married to his wonderful wife Cartesha Smith, who is also a veteran, and proud father to their 12-year-old daughter. Together, they share a passion for travel, making it a tradition to embark on an annual cruise adventure. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys cheering on his favorite college football team, the Bulldogs, showing his unwavering support on and off the field.
