In his new role as Sales Representative, John will cover the Florence, Alabama area.🇺🇸 John shared, “I chose to work for US Brick because of the culture of the people that are working at this Florence location. When you walk in the door you can feel the family atmosphere and togetherness. Everyone is always willing to help the families that come in and also work as a team.” Outside of work, John enjoys reading, traveling with his wife Suzanne, and working on various projects together. This year, we had the opportunity to donate the brick for the St. Jude Dream Home in Nashville. Partnering with Signature Homes and Freedom Mortar to bring this beautiful home to life has been truly special. The raffle for this home raised $2.2 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—a cause we are incredibly proud to support!❤️👏🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Charles Hammond, our head of transportation, served in the Navy from 1995 to 1999. He was a flight deck supervisor on the USS George Washington, with two deployments in the Persian Gulf and participation in the Bosnian conflict. Charles says, "One of the greatest things about Memorial Day is that we get to remember those who didn't come back, who gave everything for us so that we can live where we live now. And, those who are veterans understand this better than most because we were there. We saw the same things that they've seen, and it just means everything to know that somebody was willing to lay down their life for us.” With a legacy of 150 years of military service in his family, Charles's dedication mirrors values held at US Brick – strength and integrity.
