Your opinion matters! Tell Lindsay what kinds of educational resources you'd like to see about kids' podcasts.
As part of our new consulting business, I'm considering how to offer a range of affordable and accessible resources for kids' podcasters! Won't you fill out my survey and tell me what you'd like to see me create for you? 👇 https://lnkd.in/eyDTTMgm (Photo of a delicious recording session for attention)

Can you a-spare-a-moment to read about our upcoming live event at Asparagus Fest? (Our hosts spearhead only the best veggie festivals)
Aspara-guess where you can see Tumble Science Podcast for Kids on June 1 at 12pm? New England Public Media's Asparagus Fest in Hadley, MA! Marshall Escamilla and I will be spear-heading a live show all about one of Western MA's best spring vegetables. With science, games, and songs, we have the honor of being backed up by one of our favorite local kids' musicians, Carrie Ferguson. (I'm working up my cannon of asparagus puns, so you can trust we'll be talking about finding the "pee value" in asparagus studies.) Check the link for details 👇 https://lnkd.in/eZ8kjDJC

Lindsay and Marshall have been visiting schools this week, and seeing the power of audio-based learning in action!
Wrapping up a wonderful week visiting Colorado College and Colorado Springs public schools! Marshall Escamilla and I spoke with journalism and physics students about our work as science communicators, and visited three schools with a variety of science-based programs. Our favorite was visiting two classes who had done our audio course, “Cataloging the Universe,” with our astronomy collaborator, DK. We were all honestly shocked at the level of comprehension, retention, and engagement the students showed when asked questions about core concepts in the episodes. And they had amazing questions for DK! It was awesome to see kids minds being boggled before our very 👀s!

Kids' questions are the best questions.
Tumble's new episode is all about cicadas! And features this cute kid's question. I never gave too much thought to cicadas before reporting this episode - but now I think they're one of the coolest insects on Earth. Imagine being able to stretch out your life to spend 17 years growing underground! I never stop being grateful for having a job where I can learn the most interesting things, every day, and share the answers with kids. https://lnkd.in/etJQS7WM
