Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel about the current state of the diamond market moderated by Rob Bates at Initiatives in Art and Culture. The primary challenge facing our industry is the debate over the intrinsic value of diamonds. As someone who comes from four generations in the diamond industry, I deeply believe in their value. Diamonds have built entire national economies and commemorated significant milestones in people's lives. Natural diamonds hold immense value, and it is crucial that we do not lose sight of their significance and meaning. As someone who has always valued diamonds and now, being eight months pregnant, I want to ensure that the diamond industry continues to create value and thrives for the next generation. At The Clear Cut, we're addressing these challenges head-on by partnering with diamond-producing nations to share their incredible stories, rapidly embracing digitization to meet today's online consumers, and uniting the industry to educate the public with accurate information. I'm thrilled to share that our strategies are yielding remarkable results. In May and June, The Clear Cut saw a 40% year-over-year increase in engagement ring revenue! Our success reaffirms that the future is bright for the natural diamond industry, but only if we execute our strategies effectively. We welcomed media for an in-depth crash course covering the four Cs of diamonds, the history of diamonds, and techniques to distinguish natural diamonds from lab-grown. Representatives from Vogue, ELLE Magazine, Good Morning America, Hearst and several others attended. Our collaboration with GIA underscores our commitment to transparency and education in the diamond industry. GIA (Gemological Institute of America) has always had a special place in my heart as it is were Kyle E. Simon and I first met.
