🦖 We've touched on a surprising number of dinosaur-related mistakes through the first 9 episodes of The Transaction. From someone spelling Commsor 🦕 as "Commsaur" eventually leading to their dinosaur logo... To someone getting a "cool tattoo" of a dino that turned out to be Arc'teryx's exact logo. Which one of these Dino-related incidents is your favorite? Or if you, somehow, know of another goof involving dinosaurs and branding, PLEASE leave a comment and share that with the world! ➡ If you want to hear about the Arc'teryx tattoo story, check out the latest episode featuring Doug Landis. Links in the comments. ➡ If you want to hear about all the Mesozoic marketing madness that's going on at Commsor, check out our interview with Mac Reddin 🦕. I had the opportunity to discuss Signal-based selling at The Transaction Here are some of the key takeaways 1) Only 5% of accounts are in-market at any given time. In an economy back to 'normal', focusing sales efforts based on the signals that a company or a potential buyer may be in market is critical. 2) Signals have become a buzzword and too many vendors are calling everything signals. It is critical to separate segmentation and signals 3) Signals combine • intent (surge in content consumption) • events and activities such as job postings or topics discussed on social networks, and • direct engagement with your brands such as website visits or product usage 4) Successful businesses combine signals with precision targeting. #signalbasedselling

I have always loved the word "co-create" when it comes to the sales process, that is, working collaboratively with your buyer to develop a solution that they are bought into. Ashley Welch is next-level on the idea of co-creation. Check out this highlight reel from her episode of The Transaction.

In Episode 8, Ashley Welch made a strong case for applying Design-Thinking, and in turn Co-Creating, to the B2B sales process. Here's one of the powerful quotes she shared which demonstrates the need for sellers to do more for their buyers than just giving them the same, tired pitch. Catch the full conversation between Ashley, Craig, and Matt, using the link in the comments. #salesprocess #salesdeck #salescall #b2bsales #gtmstrategy

🗣 TO ALL SELLERS: We humbly request an end to the "Gotcha" Questions! Asking prospects these "gotcha" questions sounds cringy 😬 and lacks any sense of collaboration or co-creation. Instead, Ashley Welch suggests asking genuine questions, leading with curiosity, and showing that you care. So sellers, is that a fair compromise? Do we have a deal?? ⚖️ 🔘 If yes, please share this with someone else that NEEDS to hear this. 🔘 If no, please watch or listen to the full episode with Ashley and then ask yourself this question again. Catch the full audio + video of Craig and Matt's conversation using the link in the comments. As always, shout out to Casey Cheshire 🎤 and Ringmaster B2B Podcasting for making all of this possible. #sales #b2bsales #discoveryquestions #salesdiscovery #salesdiscovery
