Norwegian Cruise Line 🚢 was shocked when a GenAI chatbot boosted conversion rates 35x more than they expected. They shared their learnings at a Slalom x Census x Fivetran x dbt Labs event 👇 1. Previously, booking a cruise could take a customer 64 steps to complete 2. They implemented a GenAI chatbot to streamline the booking process 3. The AI-enhanced experience had a 96% satisfaction rating and 35x higher conversion rates than they expected 📈 In theory, GenAI allows everyone working within an organization or ultimately all customers to talk to all of an organization’s data. As AI systems become larger consumers of data, this underscores the critical need for precise, validated, and governed datasets. Check out the recap from Slalom and Peter Leyden:

Instead of blindly building every CDP feature, we're focusing on what really matters: Data Quality. Today Census announced our vision to build the most complete solution for data quality and activation — the Universal Data Platform (UDP). Why? The biggest pain we hear from our customers is that “our data isn’t ready.” The UDP is unique because it addresses these 2 major challenges: 1️⃣ Getting high quality data is too slow because of a lack of collaboration: - Only data teams have the tools to clean and model data - This means that data teams are often bottlenecks for business requests - Data bottlenecks make businesses move slower and accomplish less 2️⃣ Companies need a turnkey way to share data reliably and securely ACROSS organizations: - Collaborating with partners and monetizing data is the future, but CSVs & S3 buckets are inefficient  - Data Clean Rooms can share PII for marketing, but syncing data in & out is slow and manual - SaaS platforms spend $$$ and months building integrations to ingest & export customer data ✅ The solution to these challenges is the Universal Data Platform: a collaborative workspace where everyone can transform and govern trusted data, then activate it to any internal team, any partner organization, any app, or AI. What about Composable CDP? ❗ Composable CDPs were a big step in the right direction, but they didn’t solve the fundamental problem that data should be clean, modeled, and standardized before it’s used. We’re going beyond CDP. Welcome to a new era of data collaboration 🚀 Learn more about the Universal Data Platform: https://lnkd.in/dTKaqHz5 Read more about our UDP vision from our CEO Boris Jabes: https://lnkd.in/d_v8VTGf

Should we do data transformation in business apps? I don’t think so. It leads to siloed data and wasted effort. But it’s not going to stop until ops teams have a place to get the data they need without waiting on their teammates to send a new model from dbt. We’re building a single location for data transformation that can power all of your apps both internally and externally (customers too). Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ess2cYmT

Today, Census is announcing our vision to build the most complete solution for data quality and activation. We're calling it a Universal Data Platform (UDP). Why “universal”? Co-Founder & Managing Director at Human37 - We are hiring

[RECIPE ALERT #3] Today we are sharing how the Human37 team worked with the Vanden Borre 🇧🇪 team on a marketing use case that combines first party data with advertising: “As a Marketing Manager, I want to be able to identify my loyal customers and exclude them from my branding campaigns in order to spend my advertising budget more efficiently”. By using our data warehouse first approach in combination with Census we were able to provide the right experience to users which, in this case, is not about "showing the right thing" but rather "stop exposing them to anything". The Results? 1€ saved for every 100 people excluded 💥 Read more about the case in the comments ⬇

Exclusion audiences ⛔ are a classic marketing use case, but not every marketer knows how to calculate the ROI of exclusions. Julien De Visscher from Human37 shared this case study about Vanden Borre, a Belgian retail chain that sells electronics and household goods in 70+ physical stores and online. Vanden Borre's marketing manager needed to "identify loyal customers and exclude them from branding campaigns in order to spend advertising budget more efficiently." Census helped their marketing team create & sync audience migration patterns and exclusion audiences from their data warehouse (Google BigQuery) to Google and Meta Ads. The result? ✨ For every 100 people excluded from campaigns, Vanden Borre saved 1€ Methodology: The freed-up budget was determined by creating an average of the cost that is required to reach an additional individual and multiplying it by the total number of individuals that were excluded from the campaign. Love seeing real results from real customers, especially in Europe where user privacy is the #1 priority. Read the article from Julien: https://lnkd.in/dhQt-Ht2
