    The trend of executive search professionals receiving equity from the early stages of their careers represents a shift in traditional compensation models. Usually, professionals at senior levels would receive equity, and it is still used as a key proposition to attract experienced staff. However, the staff making up a firm are the significant value add to a business’ ability to see success, noting higher profitability and greater valuations. In a bid to retain staff over the long term, many firms have turned to equity or profit share schemes to retain promising junior staff.     Over the past 12 months, a significant percentage of search professionals across various roles have considered changing positions. Interestingly, roles with lower ownership, such as Associate/Senior Associate and Project Coordinators positions, show a notable inclination towards exploring new opportunities. During periods of economic downturns, factors such as reduced workload and decreased collaboration contribute to a higher likelihood of professionals contemplating a change in roles.
